What does it mean if stock status changes after I've ordered an item?

Follow

Usually, it simply means that your order affected our stock levels and so the stock status was changed!

If your item is in stock:
Please allow up to 24 hours from the time you place your order to receive confirmation of payment. If the stock status of your item has changed to "out of stock," "discontinued," or "backordered," it's very likely that your item was the last we had in stock. If your payment clears within 24 hours, your order is all set. If your payment doesn't clear in 24 hours, another customer may have placed an order ahead of yours. You're welcome to contact us for more information about your order.

If your item is a preorder or restock:
A preordered item that has changed to "order stop" is still safe in your account. The "order stop" status only prevents new orders from being placed, and does not affect current orders.

A preordered item that has changed to "out of stock," "discontinued," or "backordered" has most likely only just arrived at our warehouse, with no extra stock available for new orders. Please allow up to 24 hours from the time you see this new status to receive confirmation of payment. If your payment clears within 24 hours, your order is all set. If your payment doesn't clear in 24 hours, you're welcome to contact us for more information about your order.
