Japan Post Shipping Rates Going Up Next Year

Japan Post has recently announced that they will be raising international shipping rates starting next year.

Considering the effects of COVID-19, changing international treaties, and the global shipping situation in general, Japan Post is needing to pay more to continue offering its services. In order to offset this, Japan Post will be adjusting shipping fees accordingly, next year. The additional costs will depend on shipping method, destination country, and weight. We will let you know before the new rates go into effect.

In other Japan Post related news, there is no new information regarding the return of SAL or EMS for certain countries. However, as an alternative, AIR Small Packet has been made available to many countries (including the USA, Canada, the UK, France, Thailand, Germany, Spain, Singapore, and more), providing a cheap method for the shipment of smaller packages.

Japan Post usually ships via SAL, AIR, and EMS. DHL and FedEx will not be affected by these changes.
