Temporary Suspension of DHL Shipping Methods for US

Follow

Dear Customer,

We recently resumed a number of shipping methods to the US after a period of suspension, including Airmail options provided by JP post and DHL.

During this period, we have carefully reviewed customer shipments and queries to see what kind of impact the US Shipping Tariffs are having on our customers and their shipments.

Since resuming these methods, we saw a larger volume of tariff-related issues than we expected from shipments that used DHL as a shipping method, so for this reason, we are choosing to once again temporarily suspend the DHL shipping method option. DHL will become unavailable for selection from May 20th, 12:00 JST. This measure is being taken to minimize unexpected additional charges for the customer.

Other shipping methods to the US, which include EMS and Airmail options provided by JP post - will still be provided for the US. These methods have a very low rate of tariff application, and thus, we can highly recommend to customers who do not want to receive additional charges.

We know this decision may be disappointing for some, but we want to make sure that customers are not burdened by unnecessary charges for shipping their hobby goods. We will reinstate DHL as an option once we can confirm a more seamless experience for the customer, or if the cost of tariffs on products affected by US import tariffs reduce by a significant margin. For now, US customers can continue shipping with EMS and Airmail via JP post.

We appreciate your support during this time,

HobbyLink Japan Team
