FedEx & DHL Shipping Handling Fees

Follow

With our recent resumption of FedEx to the US, we've had some questions about duties and handling fees collected at the checkout.

In general, these additional fees are not set by HobbyLink Japan, but due to current shipping regulations, we have to collect them at the check out to make sure your item can be sent succesfully.

Postage price is the cost to ship the total amount of items. This is the cost just for shipping.

Duties are additional fees imposed by current shipping regulations from the US government. These are 'tariffs' that are collected based on the product's country of origin.

Handling Fees are additional fees are set by the respective courier services. As the current international shipping situation to the US has reduced the number of available shipping options, couriers has set these to handle the increased capacity and management of the above tariffs.

In the case of FedEx, a higher number of items in the cart will increase the handling fee, as handling fees accumulate per item. If you want to ship a high volume of items, we recommend switching to DHL or reducing the quantity of your items in your shipment.

We appreciate your continued support,

Kind regards,

HLJ Team
